Family Equality Council Family Weekend

Family Weekend in Atlanta is an event for parents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ), their children, extended families, prospective families and friends in the South. We are partnering with the Atlanta community to provide a weekend full of family activities, programming and community building. At the 2016 celebration, we will kick things off with a family gathering on Friday night; on Saturday, we meet for a family dance and Listening Party with our Story Corps friends; on Sunday, we will wrap up the weekend with more family fun.

Friday- 7pm-9pm- Free Family Dance at the Phillip Rush Center with DJ Sed

Saturday afternoon- Family Day at the Atlanta Zoo in partnership with Atlanta Pride

Saturday night- Family gathering at The World of Coca Cola

Sunday afternoon- Listening Party at the Atlanta History Museum- celebrating our partnership with StoryCorps
